Woodland Winter
18 x 12 watercolor
This is the fourth in a series of imaginary woodland scenes.
The entire painting was created by throwing globs of paint onto the paper
and then squirting the globs with water to make them spread and mix together.
Multiple layers were done this way until the desired affect was created, then the tree shapes were added.
Finally, white pigment was splattered on top to create snow.
This painting recieved the "editor's choice" award from Watercolor
Artist magazine's "winter scene challenge".
